A message from the FIG Management Team
“It was a year ago today that the new FIG Management Team was formed so we felt this would be good time to provide an update for everyone.
It has been a busy year and one which we could not have achieved without the support of our amazing shop team, loyal customers, loyal supporters, those who kindly donate items we sell in our shops, locals and visitors who donate items for our raffles and hampers plus many local businesses who provide us with fantastic raffle prizes.
Another source of income is financial donations and we are grateful for those too. During Baryam, some of our Turkish supporters took time to acknowledge the needs of others by making financial donations which is wonderful.
We cannot personally thank everyone here but we want you all to know how grateful we are, without your support FIG could not do the good work for local children.
The shop is our main source of income but our highly successful coffee mornings and craft fayres also play a major role in our fund raising. We rely on our supporters to help out with home baking for these events and to take time out of their days to volunteer on our craft fayre stalls and man the shop, thank you all.
Because of this support FIG has been able to help out many local children in the form of bursaries, medical assistance and particular projects in local schools. These schools are listed in our financial summary (below).
We are also involved in a project to assist Fethiye Bilim Sanat Merkezi school and are proud to say that Calis Children’s Charity (3C’s) were also approached by FETAV to assist this school. Both FIG and 3C’s agreed to set aside the same amount to help this school and in due course will publish a joint article to share more information on this.
We look forward to continuing working with you all plus new supporters and volunteers in the future and once again extend our thanks for all you do to support FIG”
