This summer, Fethiye Times is sharing brief reports of weddings held in the area – particularly those involving British nationals – and has invited wedding planners from across the area to submit details for publication. We were delighted to receive notification of two recent ceremonies at the Yacht Classic in Fethiye.
Cole – Westmore
Dental nurse Kristina Cole married carpenter Alex Westmore on July 24, saying their vows before family and friends at a ceremony arranged by Eken Weddings Turkey.
The couple from Plymouth were assisted by matron of honour Rebecca Fairclough and best man Mark Beresford-Ward, who were also witnesses for the occasion, while Reece Westmore was groomsman.
The ceremony was followed by a reception at the Yacht Classic attended by family and friends.
Desouza – Ellis
Family and friends from across the UK travelled to Turkey to witness the marriage of Maidenhead couple Chris Ellis and Holly Desouza on July 26.
The bride – a football club membership manager and the daughter of Larry and Kym Desouza – was assisted by bridesmaids Laura Bradley, Emma Jones, Danielle Lovegrove and Dawn Rincon-Stewart.
The groom – a performance manager and the son of Jacqueline and Tony Ellis – was assisted by best men Luke Dexter and Dan Ellis and groomsman Marc Halls. Mr Halls was also a witness at the ceremony, a duty he shared with Rachael Dexter.
