*WAC – Oludeniz is an extreme air sports event open to everyone. Flights from Babadağ are free of charge for all solo pilots (FAIP3, APPI 3, USHPA LEVEL 2 and above) and non-commercial flights between 28 September and 2 October 2022.
What is the World Acro Cup – Ölüdeniz?
The World Acro Cup – Ölüdeniz is an extreme air sports festival and is open to everyone.
There are two competitions at the festival; the World Acro Cup and the Turkish Acro Cup.
Each competition includes solo flights and synchro flights, during which two pilots will perform synchronised manoeuvres, a bit like dancing in the sky.
Up to 20 top pilots in the world will compete, along with other pilots, for the World Championship, and 20 top pilots from Türkiye will compete, along with other pilots, for the Turkish Championship.
To date, there have been 2500 registrations from 45 countries, a testament to the reputation of Babadağ.
Three world-class acro judges will assess technical skills and manoeuvres carried out by each pilot. There are numerous manoeuvres that can be carried out, each with a name and allocated points depending on the level of skill needed.
The winners will be announced at the end of the festival.
“World Acro Cup isn’t a game – it’s a game changer” – Cengiz Koçak
