This weekend brings three days of activities and events at the 9th Yeşilüzümlü Mushroom Festival.
The festival will take place in the mountain village of Yeşilüzümlü from Friday 7th April to Sunday 9th April and celebrates the relatively rare and extremely delicious Morel mushroom.
The Festival
The festivities start with the official opening ceremony at 15:00 on Friday and include a host of events; the morel mushroom hunt, drums event, activities for children, photo exhibition, marbling and painting exhibition, local food competition, classical music concert at the Cadianda antique theatre, the Fethiye Municipality Band and a series of live music concerts.
Taste and buy
There will be plenty of opportunities to taste and buy these delicious mushrooms as well as other local foods.
Enjoy the activities and then while away an hour or so enjoying freshly made gözleme and drinking çay.
