Even after retiring, Jill maintained a helpful and supporting role in FIG, particularly in organising the charity’s regular craft fairs. Her daughter and many friends from the local community attended her funeral, which took place at the Keçiler cemetery in Kaya valley on Thursday afternoon. The Keçiler İmam, together with celebrant, David Groom, said prayers over her grave and the FIG founding Chair, Susan Tekin, and Dilek Dinçer from the NGO through which the charity operates, FETAV, gave heartfelt eulogies.
