The end of summer
Summer in Fethiye is almost at an end and many shops and restaurants are closing for the winter. Empty shopfronts and shuttered windows replace the bustling activity of the summer.
Fethiye winters, although rainy at times, can be lovely and warm with temperatures that rarely drop below an average of 10 degrees during the day. Some days they even reach the low twenties.
But where can you go to make the most of these balmy winter days?

Winter walking with the Olive Garden
If you like walking and good food, the Olive Garden has the ideal day out for you.
Situated near to the Lycian Way, it is ideally located for walkers who want to tackle shorter stretches of this world-famous walk (and other walks in the area). The best time for this is during the winter months as it is just too hot in the summer.
During the winter months, the Olive Garden offers a tailor-made day out for groups of 8-11 people that includes a guided walk.
What does the day include?
Pick up service from most local areas to the Olive Garden (and back).
A guided walk in the Kabak, Faralya or Kirme area. There are various 6-8km a walks on different trails that will suit all levels of experience.
A meal in the Olive Garden Restuarant at the end of the walk. There is an indoor restaurant with a soba (wood burner) for those chillier days and evenings.
You can choose between an early morning walk and finish off with breakfast/brunch or an afternoon walk and dinner.
What do you need to do?
Arrange your group of 8-11 people.
Agree with your group whether they want an easy walk or one that’s a bit more challenging.
Decide what time of day you want to walk.

How much will it cost you?
A morning walk including transport, guided walk, and breakfast will cost you 50TL per person.
If you prefer to walk in the afternoon and stay for dinner the cost for transport and walking guide is 20TL per person plus whatever you order from the menu.
Want to stay longer?
If you want to stay longer, either to take in more walking or for a few days away from it all, the bungalows are open all year too.
