Traditional German bread, savouries and cakes definitely have to be on your list of foodie things to try.

Backstube cafe and bakery

Backstube was established in 2009 in Antalya however, three months ago the business relocated to Çalış, a new concept to this area but not to owners Fabian and Inci.
The name Backstube (Back*stu*be) is derived from two words, back meaning bake and stube meaning small, cosy room. Put these together and Backstube is a cosy baking room or a cozy place to come and enjoy tea or coffee with cake.
Backstube is a trendy combination of cafe and bakery. The design is tasteful, the atmosphere relaxed and you will receive a warm, friendly welcome from Fabian, Inci and their team …as well as authentic German cuisine.

Don’t forget the bread
You might just be popping in to pick up some German bread, after all Backstube is a bakery.
All breads and breakfast rolls are traditionally produced by hand with full wheat flour (no white flour is used). The bread lasts a week from the day of baking. That’s if you don’t eat it first!
Backstube bread is an artisan product and they don’t offer a slicing service so you may want to invest in a good bread knife.

If you are just popping in to buy bread, make sure you’re not in a hurry as you’ll find it impossible to not stay a while!
