Every year Fethiye District Crown Green Bowling hold their Royal British Legion Cup competition over the Remembrance weekend. This year the competition takes place on 12th & 13th of November. Play each day will begin at 11.00 am
Remembrance Sunday
On Sunday 13th a short Remembrance service will take place on the green at 2:00 pm to coincide with the service at the Cenotaph in London.
This service is open to anyone from the area who wishes to attend and pay their respects to the fallen.
Poppies will be on sale during the weekend and are also available from the Nil Bar on Calis sea front.
Directions to the green are as follows: From the Dolphin roundabout take the main road towards Çiftlik/Dalaman. Just before the end of the dual carriageway you come to a set of traffic lights. Turn right at the lights. The bowling green is approximately 200 yards on the right behind the Oky Garden restaurant.
Anyone who wishes to watch the bowling as well as take part in the service are very welcome.
