Şovalye Island
Şovalye Island (pronounced Chevalier), is the nearest inhabited Island to Fethiye and is just a short boat ride away.
The island is named after the Knights of St John who travelled over from the nearby island of Rhodes and used the island as one of their defensive positions. For those interested in history the remains of their defences can still be found.
The island is only accessible by boat, making it the ideal place to spend a quiet, relaxing day; no cars, no honking horns, no scooters, in fact the only sounds you will hear is the sea breeze rustling through the shrubs, birdsong and the occasional human voice.
So where is the best place to go on the island to enjoy this small piece of paradise right on Fethiye’s doorstep?

While away a lazy day at Ada Beach Club and lounge on one of the shaded sun beds or in a Köşk (pavilion). Have a swim to cool off in the clear blue sea or just dangle your feet in the warm water of the small harbour.
Explore
If you feel like some exercise you can take a walk round the island along wonderful shaded walking trails leading through lovely pine scented forests. It takes about 45 minutes or a bit longer if you stop off to marvel at some of the cool pads with fantastic views and their own moorings; the stuff dreams are made of.

- Breakfast is served from 9am – 1pm, lunch menu is available from 9am – 6pm and dinner is served from 6pm – midnight. (Last reservation is 10pm)

- For those of you who like to stay in touch or keep up with your emails there is WI-FI available in the restaurant
- There is a daily charge of *10TL for sun beds or a *60TL for a Köşk (Pavilion)
