The HAYED Nearly New Shop was originally founded seven years ago and was originally named Animal Aid.
In 2018 we merged to become HAYED which is the first Registered Charity in Fethiye. The shop was renamed the HAYED Nearly New Shop.
Our aim
Our aim is to raise much needed funds in order to care for and support local street animals in Çalış and Fethiye.
Where are we?
The shop is in Günlükbaşı, near the Seçkin Restaurant.

How do we operate?
The shop is run solely by our great team of volunteers of various nationalities.
We are open 4 days a week, Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10am to 2pm.
Each day has a Coordinator/ Team Leader who enables the shop to run smoothly for our customers and volunteers. They are also responsible for managing the system for dealing with donations.
Donations
We accept anything from clothing and small items of bric-a-brac to large items of household furniture and electrical goods.
We have two depots where we accept donations. Recently, with thanks to some of the husbands of our volunteers, we have just completed a revamp of Depot 1. This already is proving it’s worth as we are at present changing over for the oncoming summer season.
Depot 2 is shared with our volunteers who manage table top sales held at Çalış Beach every 2 weeks.
We have a contact for the collection and/or delivery of large items. Donations of smaller items should be delivered by the people donating.
We have an ongoing system for dealing with donations which includes washing, ironing and organising the shop displays with new stock.
All our volunteers work extremely hard and we all share the work together. We have lots of fun and camaraderie along the way.

We are grateful for the support of Tarik and his staff at Summer Breeze Restaurant & Bar in Çalış Beach. Tarik supports HAYED, as well as other charities, with items for our various fundraising activities.

For one afternoon only, we are holding our first ever HAYED NEARLY New Shop Staff Fashion Show.
This will be held at Summer Breeze Restaurant and we are all looking forward to sharing samples of our summer stock with you.
